A few of you have been asking why I sign off with the
phrase hearts and kisses. Well, here I am to fill you in.
It all came about when I was at high school, I used to write adventure and noir
stories in the safety of the library (where I sneakily ate
my lunch – naughty, naughty ? )
Well one day after my friends came to join me and I had finished yet another
rough book full of writing they asked me how I would sign it. At that point we
started scrawling lots of fancy calligraphy of our names. Funnily enough I came
up with my actual
book signature, which encompassed a heart over they ‘I’ as it
was very cool back then to have every ‘I’ dotted with a heart instead of the
boring dot and beneath my signature a ‘x’ for a kiss.
Why a kiss? I
have no idea, probably because I loved and still do love books very much. But
also, because I pour my heart into them. That is the way I communicate with
you, the reader. So, hearts and kisses are a symbolism from my author signature
as I cannot sign every blog by hand. It is my way of showing you that I am the
one here, writing my own blogs and news. When you read this, you know that I
as an author am speaking directly to you.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
Hearts and kisses
